It’s your life… use your political voice to improve it.
Whether you like it or not, the political process affects you daily. Laws and regulations made in Austin and Washington have a direct impact on everything in your life, from taxes to when your children start school.
The political process also has major impact on your career in health care, which is a highly regulated field. You can either let things happen, or you can make them happen. You choose to work in health care because you want to help people. When health care professionals get involved in politics, they help ensure that health policies benefit both patients and health care providers.
Join HOSPAC and make a difference for health care.
HOSPAC is the political voice for those who care about Texas hospitals, their staff and the patients they serve. HOSPAC is recruiting members who want to combine their voices and political contributions to fight together for sound health care public policy. Teaming together through HOSPAC, rather than standing alone, makes a powerful difference in the political process.
HOSPAC members help shape fair health care policy by supporting candidates who are best able to help hospitals improve health care delivery and financing. Once elected, these candidates can help hospitals by supporting legislative action on important health care issues: Medicare/ Medicaid funding; workforce shortages; trauma care; prompt insurance claim payments; and quality and patient safety.
Now more than ever, lawmakers must be educated about health care issues, and understand the full implications of public policy decisions. HOSPAC creates the foundation upon which the advocacy teams of the Texas Hospital Association and its member hospitals work to influence both the legislative and regulatory processes in Austin and Washington, D.C.
