HOSPAC shares information with members about candidates, as well as critical public policy issues and processes.
Joining with other Texas hospital leaders in HOSPAC is the best way to elect hospital-friendly lawmakers who help hospitals and the patients they serve.
From DSH and Medicaid reimbursement to health information technology and workforce, lawmakers deal with myriad issues that affect hospitals’ bottom lines and ability to care for patients.
Lawmakers who understand hospitals and know the people who work in them are more likely to develop policies that help.
HOSPAC helps elect lawmakers who understand hospitals’ concerns and will work on their behalf.
We do this by:
- endorsing and financially supporting candidates who have been carefully vetted by HOSPAC’s Board of Directors with input from THA member hospitals;
- forging relationships between hospital leaders and lawmakers; and
- educating lawmakers about hospitals’ priorities.
